This week we've "soft launched" Clarity Accounting, our online accounting software for small businesses. The project started almost a year ago, and now we have something we can let others look at. The "startup gurus" out there keep saying "if it's not a bit embarrassing, you didn't release early enough" so we've taken that to heart and this is a nice early release. There are still plenty of rough edges, but it's enough to do the books for this corporation, Habitsoft Inc..

Over the next few weeks and months we'll be adding some more nice little features, posting a brand new skin on the application, fixing cross-browser compatibility issues, measuring our results with Google AdWords and working on our marketing materials.

We're currently doing a survey called "You and Accounting" which we're going to use to drive our business planning for the the business as it moves from purely R&D to a full-blown business with marketing, sales, customers, all that exciting stuff.
